Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Internship & IBL Programme Coordination
    • Main point of contact for all matters related to internships and Industry-Based Learning (IBL).
    • Track and monitor IBL applications and progress for diploma and undergraduate students, ensuring full completion within specified timeframes.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all internship and IBL-related activities within the Career Portal.
  • Portal Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the UAS Career Portal.
    • Advise and support students, faculty, and employers on portal usage, internship/IBL processes, and requirements.
    • Address and resolve queries related to login issues, employer registrations, internship applications, and other technical matters.
    • Generate and distribute regular reports from the Portal and distribute to key stakeholders.
  • Training & Outreach
    • Conduct training briefings for students and faculty on the use of the Career Portal and internship/IBL processes.
    • Develop and update training and communication materials such as user guides, SOPs, process documents, and presentation decks.
    • Support communications to stakeholders regarding internship timelines, requirements, and updates.
  • Industry Engagement Support
    • Assist in coordinating IBL initiatives and employer engagement efforts.
    • Support logistical planning and execution of outreach activities and industry collaborations.
    • Provide support for career-related events such as Career Fair, networking sessions, and industry panels.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Business, Communications).
  • At least 5 years of experience in career services, internship coordination, higher education administration, or related roles.
  • Service oriented, outgoing personality and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Good event management, planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with MS Office software and must be IT savvy.
  • Knowledge on Design software an added advantage.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide integrated policy analysis and strategic input to the VC and COO on major issues of institutional importance, relating to the University’s growth, performance and development.
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and other local government agencies in areas related to University development, policy and planning.
  • Coordinate policy development across divisions/teams in support of the University’s vision and strategic goals, as directed by VC and COO.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to drive long-term institutional planning efforts and promote change management strategies within the University and across divisions/teams.
  • Provide secretariat support for the University’s Board of Trustees and ensure the smooth implementation of the various Board Committees.
  • Design, plan and incubate new areas of work that supports the long-term strategies for the University, as directed by the VC and COO.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
This is an individual contributor role.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Preferably at least 7 years of relevant experience in policy development and corporate governance in a large organization/established institution, preferably in a range of functions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams, with tight timelines.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, action-focused, and willing to explore new ideas.
  • Resourceful and able to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, quantitative as well as written and oral communication skills

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The role of a school counsellor is important to help students navigate their educational journey and personal growth, and provide the support they need to succeed both academically and emotionally.

Key roles and responsibilities include:
  • Providing one-on-one counselling support for students’ mental health and social-emotional development
  • Working with staff and students in providing direct crisis interventions
  • Referring students and their families to community resources or external professionals where needed
  • Conferencing with staff, parents and external professionals/agencies on students being counselled
  • Maintaining confidential case consultation records
  • Planning and conducting training for staff on pertinent mental health issues and skills for first-line intervention and support
  • Developing and conducting small and large group psycho-educational sessions for students on mental health issues and coping strategies
  • Developing and/or making available mental health resources for students, parents and staff
  • Preparing counselling statistics/ data for reporting to senior management and government agencies
  • Provide secondary support for in-house student events and activities such as Orientation, Convocation and other ad hoc activities
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Counselling
  • At least 3 years of working experience in counselling work involving youths and adults.
  • Must have a flair, understanding and patience to work with students
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiar with MS Office software and must be IT savvy
